I have a really sore, can't stress how painful right arm due to walking into a door.
I have a physio appt on Tuesday morning, but, can't bear the pain for any longer. I was given tramadol by the hospital on Thursday evening, while they are effective they make me hallucinate. I am allergic to codeine so that's out of the question.
What can I buy OTC for the pain. I am really suffering. I am taking Brufen for the inflammation.

Paracetamol?
Stop the brufen and take voltarol instead??

Paracetamol aren't touching it. Voltarol isn't any better than the Brufen.

supraspinatus? tis one of the rotator cuff muscles. You need to take an anti-inflammatory like nurofen or voltarol regularly at the full dose if you can tolerate it - not to treat the pain but to reduce the inflammation.

Thanks for that. I've just reposted in chat.
I am waiting for a nurse to phone back from the OOHs doctors at our hospital.
I am taking the Brufen regularly, but it seems not to be working.
I am sweating with pain Blush

Voltarol is much stronger than brufen, paracetamol is a good base.
Are you really allergic to codeineHmm??
What happens when u take it? As codeine is an opiate and metabolised into morphine there aren't many other types of pain killers available
Oxycodone - opiate
Diazepam might help a dose of 2-3 mg might relax you a bit and break the spasm
Naproxen- anti inflammatory though voltarol is better

If I take codeine, I sweat, shake and hallucinate. Not much fun TBH.

I should add, I've had morphine and pethidine and something that begins with O without problems.
