Oh no, i have just been taken for a mug *warning about googling nhs direct*

Looked up nhs direct earlier to find the number. Clicked on the first link at the top of the page ,said to dh "oh, it's an 0906 number that costs £1 per min". Didn't think 'duh' in the rush to get help for ds. Just realised the page on my browser is still open and it wasn't the genuine nhs site,it was something called 'med helpline', which will put you through to nhs direct at 20x the price!!!! So just make sure you have the genuine site , the number is an 0845 number and it is 5p per min from a bt line.
Can't believe i've been conned by some sicko company as i am normally really careful about this.

That's just exploitation - I looked it up myself to see and it's easy to see how someone in a hurry and probably anxious would not take the time to read all the small print. Easy to get fooled in a stressful situation, even if you are usually careful. Well, good on you for bringing it to our attention, hopefully you will help others to avoid the same mistake.

Thanks - i want to complain to someone! I don't know if there can be legislation against this sort of thing, but to me it's criminal behaviour. There are lots of swindlers out there, but to take advantage of people in their hour of need makes my blood boil.
