anyone know about open angle glaucoma?

Probably a long shot I know...!
It sounds like my brother has this; it's very scary, he suddenly can't see properly (he's already legally blind in one eye and this is affecting his "good" eye.) He's going to a specialist on Friday and they may do surgery or just treat it with drugs. If anyone knows about the treatments I'd love to ask a few more questions.

No, but he is black and approaching 40, common factors apparently (just been looking on the net!)
