I don't want to waste GPs time.

Have bad cold also very sore throat, swollen glands underchin and behind ears. If I still had my tonsils I would say it tonsillitis!

Coughing, and peak flow down from 450 to 280. Wheezey when laugh/cough but am not breathless.

How long for?
I would go as the wheeze sounds like when I've had an infection that only antibiotics will fix-it's weird cos you can still do stuff but the infection will take weeks to shift if you don't.

I would go. Can you get an appointment today? Otherwise you will be in the OOH malarkey over the weekend.

I say go because you have asthma anyway. Doctor needs to assess you in person to see how significant the wheeze is wrt your chronic condition.

If you hadn't said asthma I would have said hold off, better to let your own immune systems deal with it, medical intervention can do more harm than good, etc.
