Coldsore since before Christmas, now starting to scar any ideas?

I've had a coldsore on the corner of my mouth since before christmas right on the crease. I've had two doses of aciclovir tablets from the doctor, tried zovirax, bonjela (as it's now looking like an open sore...i'm desperate!), witch hazel, aloe vera gel, keeping the area dry and nothing is working.

I have a sodding great scar on my mouth now and the split is really painful :(

Any ideas on how to get shot of it? I'm at the end of my tether :(

I think the key to coldsore is prevention. My son puts vaseline on his lips everytime he goes outside. Moisturiser on face also helps him.

I would says its highly unusual to have a coldsore for this long and would want to be referred to a dermatologist. It may be that it is something else resembling a coldsore which needs looking at or that it has developed a secondary infection. If it is a cold sore it would be worth asking the Gp/dermatologist to do a set of bloods to exclude underlying health isues ie immune system/anaemia/vit b12 defeiciancy etc.
