embarassed but need help

been ill and still am with a chest infection. Have been taking antibiotics. I am also on my period and have been using sanitary towels which i think is the cause of my problem
around the outside of my vagina is all sore and itchy, either it's thrush or just irritated my the towels, don't know

thing is i can't go to the chemist today, so what can i do?
don't have natural yoghurt either
would bathing help do you think?

antibiotics offten cause you to get thrush-always does for me anyway

Sounds like thrush. It might well be the antibiotics - they kill friendly bacteria as well as bad.
Cool bathing (with NO soap etc.) might cool the itch, but you'll need something else to clear it up.

Which towels are you using? Could you get a different make and see if that makes a difference?

I have heard Anti B's causing discomfort though through peeing.

theres a wee bit at the bottom of this that might help. pro biotics when on antibugs can help and also here

have u got any tea tree oil in? 5 drops of this in your bath will help thrush as it has anti fungal properties.
