Oh God and again I have a cold. Pretty bad with temps and sore throats and massive snottiness and headaches. I am 30 weeks pregnant and have had repeated colds with very small breaks (a week or two) in between - really not got 100% better since they all started. I know I am pregnant, I know my immunity if low and also very stressed (with a v poorly nana/moving house etc) but what on Earth can I do to help myself? Obviously only paracetamol and have lost senses of taste and smell for weeks at a time. Sorry, awfully ranty and feeling sorry for myself but what can I do to give myself a boost??

Can't help I'm afraid but feel sympathy with you because I suffered cold after cold after cold in pregnancy too. Unfortunately as far as drug relief goes paracetamol is all you have but I hope you have a sympathetic OH or family member who can take the strain off of you and let you have the rest you need to get better.

It's rubbish. Sympathies. I found sticking my head over a bowlful of mint teabags, towel on top, helped. And resting, impossible as that often seemed.

This too shall pass Smile

Have you had your bloods checked recently? Anaemia? Gestational diabetes? Can all lead to low immune system during pregnancy. Hope you feel better soon.

Actually I am having a diabetes test done this week some time (just because I am old and have a dd with it not because it is particularly indicated iyswim) and I will be myself check for anaemia as well (think I am dues some bloods about nowish) as I did have anaemia in my last pregnancy - had never had it before but I guess creeping age and lots of babies takes it toll eh? That is a good point and thanks for reminding me because I just didn't think of that. I just feel absolutely battered and I am usually a bit more stoic than this, I feel like such a wimp.
