sound like you've possibly got some kind of fungal nail infection. are any other nails riged, discoloured. any history of an accident, however long ago to said toe??

I have had this from something heavy falling on my second toe and the nail did become thick which was due to a new one growing underneath to replace the old one that was going to fall off. Am going through another one of these and am at the stage where thick and tender but not worried as it has happened before and as the new one grew up it did right itself.

Just read other message: I don't have a fungal wotsit and no ridging. Maybe you should go and see a chiropodist if you are worried?

not always but best toget it sorted, if yu do have fungal nail, and it might not be as chick pea syas it could be from an old inj, but if you do have fungal nail best to get it seen to before it spreads!!

I hate to say it those ill fitting stilettos we all wore pre and during preg count as injury
doesn't sound like much to worry about though...
get they to a chiropadist, when you can be arsed...
