Has anyone had a Tummy Tuck/Abdominoplasty or Muscle/Hernia repair?

I'm 2 weeks post op & feeling a bit fed up (post surgery blues I expect) so wanted to talk to someone about it.

I have not got an appointment to see anyone at the hospital until mid Feb. and I feel a bit lost regarding recovery, dressings, what I should/shouldn't be doing...

Hi LBM, i havent had either of these but am watching with interest as i have an incisional hernia after 5 LSCS and an op on my ovaries that went through the same scar. I have a large overhanging tummy too abd hope to have it all fixed soon.
How are you feeling now? In any pain? Did the hospital give you post-op advice?

Hi Vajazzler, I missed this reply, must have been the Tramadol...

Obviously I'm over this feeling but the 'blues' lasted quite a while. I was in pain, lots of it, because I had the muscle repaired and could hardly move. I'll be honest, it was a gruelling recovery.

I'm great now though thanks :) I'm having a scar revision soon because it was a massive op and there are some cosmetic issues now but it shouldn't be nearly as bad as last time.

How are things progressing with you? Are you having/have you had an op?
