I used to check my cervix when rtfm, so know what it used to feel like. Just had a random feel, and it's got hard patches on the inside that didn't used to be there. I'm panicking now, but really hope there's a friendly midwife around who is familiar with a range of cervixes who will tell me this is totally normal after having two labours. Anyone?

Your cervix can feel quite peculiar after having a baby. You don't say how long ago the last birth was and that might be relevant. If it's fairly recent you can ask for a check at your 6 week check up or if it's longer than that I would ask for a speculum examination/smear test just to put your mind at rest.

You can feel the inside of your cervix? Is it wise to poke around?

I know that in my first pregnancy, my GP found a cervical erosion which she explained to be internal cells on the outside. I never quite understood it and had no symptoms. I was waaay overdue for a smear so she did one at the 12 week visit, which I think is unusual.
