Broken finger which kids at sch keep bumping - any ideas how to flag it?

Dd2 broke her finger (or had her finger broken Angry ) by a child at school. She's got it strapped to the next finger, but kids keep bumping it and making it ache.

Any suggestions how we can flag up to the other kids to remind them? I've suggested going back to the sling that she had for the first few days, just for playtimes, but she won't do that.

Thanks Smile

Can you put a glove or mitten with padding over top? Sympathy as top of my thumb was cut off by another kid slamming door on me at school and it's awkward when it's a hand injury as hard to
Shield it.

She has my sympathy as I've just broken some toes and getting DS not to bash it is a nightmare. I'd suggest a bright bandage or overwrap something like this... www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/finger_splint_cozy
you can get rigid finger splints but I'm not sure if they are suitable for broken fingers (everyone I know uses them for arthritis) but that might protect it from bashing... I'd do a bit of research on this if u want to try it
Hope you find a solution

Thank you for your suggestions, both of you. I don't think I could crochet a finger warmer, although they are lovely! It has got me thinking though, might see if we've got any bright gloves that I can cut up...

I usually suggest sling for playtime from fracture clinic, but entirely sold as "so everyone else remembers it's hurt"
