help im latex allergic !!!!

I have been confirmed as latex allergic ! but i still dont know what I should be avoiding . I am ok touching latex but if it comes in contact with my mouth my lips swell and i get tingling tongue etc not very pleasant ! do i need an epipen ?? can anyone advise me further or is anyone else latex allergic ?

so was my dad, which was a pain as he was a surgeon and that's what surgical gloves are made of...

who diagnosed you? didn't they tell you what you should be doing? there are some fruits etc you should be avoiding as well as the obvious (balloons etc) but I don't know really. Google?

thank you both ! GP had blood test done to confirm I have made an appt for thursday as I have had no advice and its a bit worrying

Someone I work with is allergic to latex. She has polyurethane gloves for washing up, and we keep them in the 1st aid box in case she needs them or we need to touch her in them (if she has a cut etc).
It doesn't seem to cause too many problems.

She is also allergic to parsnips - don't know if that is linked.

You can get latex free condoms, if you need them, free through your gp or clinic if you are allergic.
