I am sorry that you are suffering but surely there are two separate issues here, firstly, the Ablation and possible infection and secondly the fact that you had unprotected sex with a new partner.

Obviously the discharge could be related to the treatment but only a GP/Gynae will be able to tell you that and take swabs etc. I would suggest making an appointment asap.

I would also suggest that you attend a GUM Clinic with your new partner and both of you get tested for STD's asap. I presume you are now using condoms? If not, I guess it'd be a good idea until after the test results come back.

i second getting checkef out asap - if it is an infection you don't want it to get any worse.

bright yellow discharge could be group B strep, which is a naturally occuring bacteria that can go a bit haywire sometimes - I had it twice with Mirena coil. I found I had copious discharge, needing a sanpro. TMI, but slightly sweet odour.

I also get an occasional yellowish/rusty discharge around the time my period is due.

EIther way, get it checked out.

How soon after the op did you have sex?? I had the same op yesterday and have been told no sex for 6 weeks!

Zippylovesgeorge · 04/01/2012 09:03

Sorry posted too soon - was wonderful if you'd done it sooner then it could just be an infection from that.

Good luck for today :)
