Hi there,
going by a slightly different name to normal. I just need a little reassurance, as doctors will now be closed till the 2nd, and though I have been to doctors about this before, just want a bit of comfort that I am prob overreacting.
I have a spot under the skin just under my breast. I had it checked out, and they said it was probably just a spot under the skin and come back if it changed in any way. Now I have ( probably foolishly) checked it again, and though it hasn't changed, in a month I was hoping it would go away. Now feeling it feels a bit sore, and bit larger, and if anything making me completely depressed and nervous. There are defiantly other explanations it could be can't there? I will go as soon as I can of course, but still does not make me feel much better. May make drop in at NHS drop in centre tomorrow to see a nurse. Sorry for the vent, feeling a bit down at the moment.

It's more likely to be a skin thing that could occur anywhere but just happens to be where it worries the most. I'm not an expert at all, but I think the medics would have been more concerned if the spot was in breast tissue rather than skin tissue. Is it where it could be being irritated by your bra?

I do understand about feeling depressed and nervous about these sorts of things, and that trying to be commonsensical doesn't always help much. Your plan to see a nurse in the centre tomorrow is a good one.

Try not to worry, if it was sinister in any way the doctor would have referred you immediately for further investigation. You are however doing the right thing in keeping an eye on it and for peace of mind going to the drop in clinic would be a good idea.
