Had a coil fitted a week ago and now in a bit of pain

All was fine when it was fitted. No cramps or anything when it was put in or after, was quite suprised.
Coil was fitted last saturday.
Me and dp had sex on friday, and since then I have been a bit uncomfortable/achey and now am in pain.
I can still feel the string, so it is still there.
I have an appointment with the gp tomorrow, but do you think we knocked it out of place or it's infected?

It's probably your body trying to expel it. It takes a few weeks for it to settle down. Sex can trigger cramps off, esp. if you had an orgasm. Take some ibuprofen and give it time to settle.

I've been fitted with a mirena coil because of excessive bleeding. I really don't want to have to have it out.
