I have a large spot under my ear just below my jaw on my neck..
My husband spotted it from across the kitchen.

It Is soft approx pea sized with no head but painful and the whole area is a bit swollen.

All that bending and lifting Christmas fayre from a hot oven is going to bring it on nicely.

I have never had a boil before so this is an unexpected gift. I will attempt a photo.

QOD - va-jay-jay?

TheProvincialLady · 29/12/2011 20:59

Oh I had one of those once QOD. Is it a proper boil or just one of those manky cysts? It doesn't count if litres of blood come out, only pus. Lovely lovely pus.

QOD · 29/12/2011 21:49

Cleanish watery blood and a line of pus?? Please can that count?
I dont think it's a cyst as its in the external area if you get my drift hairy muff
It's got a lovely blue hue when I admire it in the mirror

TheProvincialLady · 29/12/2011 21:55

Yeah that counts. Enter the fold, my sheep.

An unpleasant place for a boil. You can't really show it to anyone and definitely don't post a photo.

QOD · 29/12/2011 22:03

I'm due a smear test, but will have to wait for ANOTHER cycle again as the scars and pin holes make for a very unattractive minge

TheProvincialLady · 29/12/2011 22:08

You certainly can't be upsetting the nurse with that sight.

EnjoyResponsibly · 29/12/2011 22:08

Sound the klaxon!

Boil watchers will be here momentarily with good advice morbid curiosity

In the meantime photos will be required, you'll need DH for that.

Does the little fella have a name?

QOD · 29/12/2011 22:10

I would like to call him "Bob"

EnjoyResponsibly · 29/12/2011 22:15

Bob is a fine name.

I have just realised Bobs location though, and must urge you NO PHOTOS.

However, graphic description will be permitted.

EnjoyResponsibly · 29/12/2011 22:21

I think that the Pus SWAT team must be sleeping at their posts. Am v disappointed.

QOD is Bob a single or double harder?

What instrument are you using in the pus procedure?

Did you use the patented nightie wiping protocol if wielding a needle?

QOD · 29/12/2011 22:27

Bob has no head :(. He is a headless Bob. (didn't black adder have Bob beheaded?).

I used a wipe to clean the pin
let's not mention that I had used it to remove my makeup already and it was smeared with mascara
