I have (yet again) a sodding toothache; the dentist can do nothing before Christmas

I am away after Christmas

It's a root canal - newish RC, no problems with it before. But it hurts when I suck & if I touch it

Do I take the antibiotics or do I hold on to them in case it gets worse (or will it get worse if I don't take them?)

Call your practice - if your practice is shut etc, it should give you an emergency number for OOH problems. I'd then ring that.

Good luck, sounds miserable, hope you get it sorted soon.

how about taking the antibiotics and asking for a further prescription to take with you just in case it flares up when you are away. Depending on where you go, you may be able to buy the antibiotics over the counter. Take some pain killers with you.

I spoke to the Dentist & I think we have a plan

Thanks everyone
