Bleeding after a period, what is going on? Worried!

I finished my period last Thursday and then Sunday started bleeding again. It's pinky/red blood and quite watery. Still getting it now but only twice a day or so.

I've never had this before but since last Tuesday have had really bad flu and didn't get up or eat for four days.

Could the two be linked?

I am really worried. Could the coughing make me bleed like this? I phoned the doctor but they said it's not classed as an emergency so have made an appt for Jan but can't help thinking the worsed.

Please can you offer any advice?

hi there, don't automatically assume the worst although easier said than done, i am the worst at doing this. i have had this some months, an af that stops and then kind of starts again. i have had it checked out a few times and seemed to come down to my age (i am 46, nearly 47). i don't know your age. i think this kind of thing can be quite normal for an aging women...:( go to drs and chat to them about it. i have had a few 'light bleeds' that seem to go on forever after the odd af similar in description to what you have said. try not to worry but do get it checked out,
