What can I take for this horrendous continuous cough and stabbing head pain?

Has anyone else had this? Have had vomitting, shakes, sweats, aches, ear ache and this most horrible stabbing pain in the back of my head. Not to mention the cough so bad I can't talk as it starts another coughing bout off! I've had it a week tomorrow.

What can I take? It's a nightmare and I can't sleep.

Have seen the doctor, he said my chest is clear and that stabbing pain is caused by too much coughing.

Help!

sudafed and paracetamol.

if it's a tickly drip cough then clarityn can be quite good or perhaps something with codeine in to hit the pain and calm the cough.
