I keep getting a reall bad pain low down in my abdomen/womb type area. Last month it started after my period had finished was mildish for 2 days then on the 3rd day got worse to the point where for 3 hours I was curled up in a ball. then they just went. This time i'm about half way through my cycle and the pains have been more like bad period pain and have lasted for a week or so on and off. I wasn't too worried as I remember that when dd1 was about the same age dd2 is now I suffered from a similar thing but i then fell pg with dd2 and it stopped til now. What could it be? Should I go to the doctors ?(which I hate as i feel they never really do anything and i feel as though i'm wasting their time-last time i went about this pain he just prescribed very strong pain killers)
I'm hoping it will just go away Sad

Any pain that is cyclical in nature (and or gets worse up to and including menses) should be checked out further by a gynae to see if endometriosis is present.

I would be asking now for a gynae referral.

If your GP has done nothing to date apart from prescribing strong painkillers which only address the symptoms and not the cause I'd be looking to change GP practice.
