I have been back and forth to the hospital with high blood pressure this week (im 28 weeks). Everyine has been obsessing about my blood pressure and my wee has shown up protein, glucose plus god knows what else. But aparently the tested for "significant protein" and there was not enough to be significant for it to be preeclampsia which is great. But i am sore, uncofortable, my wee is pretty manky looking and this afternoon i have developed back pain to top it off. No one will even discuss this with me as they keep banging on about blood pressure.

Went to the go today who did my blood pressure again gave me more talets and said the tummy/back pain would have to be seen by the hospital really which is not so helpful as they seem to be totally disinterested in any infection type symptoms.

What do i do! I am supposed to be going away for a week this afternoon amd will be out of area so this isnt great timing!

Dirtydishes you need to get someone to sit down and explain what they are doing and listen to your concerns. What tablets did the gp give you? Is your bp very high? If you do have or are developing pre eclampsia or pregnancy induced hypertension they are right to be careful but you should be understanding whats going on.

Are you going away for work or pleasure? Is it worth cancelling or postponing until you feel better?

Maybe you can get your GP / midwife to call you?
