Blood in nose whilst on period - what is this.

Can any one explain why my snot has blood in it, but only whilst having my period? It's not enough blood for a nose bleed, but it is continuous.

Don't know if this is the case for you but I have endometriosis and one of the places I suffer from the most is in my nose. The bit of endometrium that has attached somewhere in my nose bleeds continuously for the time I have my period.

That's what I thought it could be. Is it worth mentioning to my doctor?

Do you already know you have endometriosis? If not then it's probably worth mentioning, they can't do anything about it though.

No, but I did wonder if I have it in my nose, if it is elsewhere.

To be honest even if it is elsewhere, if it's not causing you any problems I wouldn't worry about it. It's definitely worth seeing your doctor about it you have very painful periods though.

No to painful periods - they are fine despite having a coil fitted 3 months ago (which coincides with the nosebleeds come to think of it)

I do however have very weird crampy stomachs and explosive bowel movements when I am on my period.

Maybe I should see my GP about those and mention the nose thing in passing.

Think the bowel problem may be related! (I have same sort of problems) My actual periods aren't that bad, it's everything else that goes haywire!

Oh blow! That has deffo got worse since the coil was fitted. I will phone surgery tomorrow.
