i fell down stairs on my backside...now i cant sit down!

hi,

i fell down stairs this morning, i slipped off a step near the top and bumped down about half way....

i could hardly move and felt sick with pain. Ive been sent home from work because driving was so painful i arrived in tears.

im taking ibuprofen but its not touching the pain.

any advice please?

ice in the acute stage

I hurt my tail bone and couldn't sit down for days.
My suggestion is put ice on it or have a super hot bath.
After several days the pain should go.
But is does sometimes flair up sometimes, like if I sit on the hard ground for to long or go 4WD Driving.
