Had a cold which has left me with a chesty cough. Not coughing alot but green gunk coming up sometimes, a little blood as well but then it goes back to white frothy stuff. Feel knackered and out of breath if do too much but not very ill. Had pneumonia twice before but both times with a dry cough. Been about a week. Not sure if i need to go or not..

If you've had pneumonia twice before, you're breathless and coughing up green and blood stained sputum, I'd say you probably need to be seen by a doctor.

Definitely see the doctor I would go with any breathlessness, coloured phlegm and definitely with blood!

I was told that the blood was due to coughing hard enough to break the blood vessels in my throat with a regular non-scary chest infection.

With a history of pneumonia I'd be checking with the GP if I were you.

Thanks all. Just bronchitis at the moment so i'm on rest and strict instructions to go back if i get chest pain with breathing/severe breathlessness.
