Can anybody suggest the name of a good homeopath in London?

I am fed up with antibiotics and want to try an alternative.

Many thanks!

I'll shake some water and sell it to you if you like.

Grin seeker!

I'm not a believer but I do know a really lovely homeopath in south London if that's any good to you, oinkyoink.

Jan Perivolas in N8 is amazing!
And to all those sceptics.....funny how homeopathy works on animals!

Gemd81 · 25/11/2011 18:09

I know one near esher Surrey.
Let me know if u want details.

swampster · 25/11/2011 18:16

Mischiefmummy, when you consider stuff like this and this I can only conclude that animals are as susceptible to the placebo effect as we humans are.

singersgirl · 25/11/2011 23:02

Of course it doesn't work on animals. It works on the humans who observe the animals. And it doesn't work on children either - it works on the adults who look after the children and ascribe feelings and beliefs to them.

I think you are using the word 'sceptic' wrongly.

but the hypothesis that water has a memory of substances that used to be in it is interesting. So the water must have a memory of glass bottles, copper water pipes, the fish in the sea it used to be, and the poo that was in it when it used to be in a sewer.

Or maybe ir's just some silly idea.

Grin @ pigletjohn.

sorry op, I just came on to read the responses to the trigger phrase 'good homeopath' :)

Alfuy · 27/01/2012 15:37

Maybe contact one of the homeopath pharmacies in London & ask their advice?

No such thing as a good homeopath.

They are either deluded or they are cynically taking your money when they know they are lying to you.

ameliagrey · 27/01/2012 15:42

I've met some lovely homeopaths who genuinely believed what they did was helping.

I really hoped it would help me. But it didn't.

As for animals- well, the logic is that they would have got better anyway- you can't double blind trials with animals, and cut out the natural recovery possibility too.

Alfuy · 27/01/2012 16:37

Hi Amelia,

Of course you can do trials with double-blind & placebo to see whether homeopathy helps animals!

It was a pilot study with far too small a sample size to demonstrate anything unfortunately.

ameliagrey · 28/01/2012 20:51

well that's the issue isn't it- too small a sample.
