Can you get a lump on your head without having banged it?

Have had a bit of a headache today and just realised that I have a pea-sized lump on my forehead. Don't remember banging it at all - can you get a lump on your head any other way or have I forgotten hitting my head ?

It sounds more like a cyst....my friend got one there and was very painful! Or a big boil on the way in?

Hadn't thought of it being a boil - does seem to have subsided a little this morning. The thought of having a pus filled boil on my forehead is a little yucky - but if it develops into anything I will start a new thread with pus in the title!
