and itching. thrush or urine infection. dd has text me with these symptoms. my first thought was thrush but she's 13 so I'm not sure.

Sounds more like thrush, it makes the whole area pretty sore iirc.

I had thrush in my teenage years, probably just her body changing.

GP can give her free canesten tablets the cream never really works for me.

Thrush can be as a result of taking antibiotics. May sound a little messy and that, but live yoghurt (because of the live bacteria) applied to the affected area can help a little until she's seen the GP.
