swollen ankles

Is this just because I've put on weight then? :( I'm trying to lose some. And I don't want to go to the doctor. I'm sure that's what she's say anyway.

But if it's something like blood pressure, I wonder if I'd need to do anything else. I'm only just 40.

Every evening my ankles are puffy, and there are noticeable indentations where the cuffs of my socks have been. And they're just normal socks, nothing specially tight.

Are you on your feet all day and do they get better at all if you put them up for a bit?

i can sometimes get swollen ankles when I have bad water retention and find that going high protein, low carbs in my diet for a few days sorts that out.

not on my feet much - lots of time in front of the computer (I know I need more exercise!!). Could be worth trying to have fewer carbs and more protein though, I know that usually kickstarts the weight loss too, which I really need. (I just hate going low-carb!! But I know it's good for me).

They do get better if I put them up, or if I'm lying down for a while. Just surprised how quickly they seem to get puffy in a normal day, and how noticeable the sock marks are by the evening!
