Food poisoning or a bug?

DD14 went away with her school on an orchestra residential - away for one night. She phones me this morning and tells me she was sick in the night as were 4 other children, two at the same time as her and two a couple of hours later. They are children from all different families, different year groups and different classes.

School are trying to say it's a bug but each child was only sick once. I'm concerned it may have been an issue with the food they ate the night before - they were taken and ate in the restaurant of a local pub.

Opinions? Obviously I realise proper food poisoning would cause far worse symptoms but perhaps food a little bit 'not right'?

Thanks

Sounds more like food poisoning to me, with a bug, you usually throw up everytime you eat or drink and can't keep anything in.

DD said it was odd, they felt rubbish were sick very soon after then were fine! She's eaten today as normal.

I asked the school to look into it but they haven't come back to me.
