Why are my boobs sore?

My boobs (particularly nipples) are very sore.

I never get sore boobs. I've tested for pregnancy and the tests are negative. I had a very light period, but that suddenly stopped.

There's no infection or heat, discharge, swelling etc. Just very sore.

Can boobs get sore in the perimenopause or could it be some random hormone attack? I'm 41 and have regular periods.

I'd re-test in a few days....I only ever get sore boobs when I'm pregnant

Hi hidden, I'm 36 & my boobs get sore mid month & then again just before period starts. I never suffered from this before. Even during pregnancy they weren't as sore as are now. I'm presuming due to age. If my dc lean on them or elbow me by accident it is so sore!

my boobs are sore from mid-cycle onwards. 2 weeks of sore boobs every month. am trying evening primrose oil to see if it will help with symptoms. am 39...
