Erratic periods

Hi I am having aggro with periods. Used to be fairly regular but in the last few weeks' they have been coming too regularly. Last one was less than 2 weeks' ago and this current one started today.

My last period was very light and like breakthrough bleeding. If it hadn't happened my current period was 28 days' after my last one.

I am 44. anyone else having a similar thing.

My menopause started exactly like this when I was 38.

By the time I was 40 my periods had stopped. Sounds depressing, but I've had no hot flushes, night sweats or any other typical symptoms and I think that's perhaps because I was young.

I took HRT for about 10 years on the advice of my gp to help prevent osteoporosis.
