Snotty DD

My DD (12) has always been very snotty. From being quite small, she would sneeze copiously in a morning producing huge amounts of snot (sorry!). She has coped with it well over the years, but it seems to be getting worse. She sounds very nasally when she talks, is constantly blowing her nose, but often nothing shifts. Her breath stinks in a morning. I spoke to the doctor about it recently and he thinks that she simply produces too much catarrh, and there is nothing that can be done. There is an operation which strips catarrh producing cells from the nose, but the respite is temporary as they grow back.

I was wondering if anyone had any advice on any homeopathic remedies which might be available to ease her congestion? We have tried over the counter stuff like sudafed and nasal sprays but nothing seems to work for her.

Have you tried cutting out dairy? My mum was often v congested and found cutting it out helped.

Yes Rilla is right . As soon as i eat dairy I get catarrh and bad hay fever symptoms (i know because i don't usually eat it). There's lots of dairy free products around now.

Thanks - will give it a try.
