Boots Flu Jab

I have just booked the seasonal 'flu jab at Boots and asked my friend about it as she has just had it done. She said she was a bit concerned as the pharmacist didn't wipe her skin with alcohol or anything first! I thought this sounded a bit dodgy; does anyone else think so? Thanks

Hi, my DH does the jabs at Boots. I asked him exactly the same question as yours. His answer was that they are trained not to as some people can react to the wipes Hmm. The needle is sterile and sharp so goes straight in. Anyway, he did mine and it was fine.

Hmm interesting, thank you. Maybe I can ask for a wipe at my own risk...Even my vet wipes my horse before vaccinating so it kind of seems a bit risky. I will just have to have a good soak in the bath first! Thanks again :-)
