Can you know if you are concussed, without a visit to A & E?

I fell down the stairs yesterday, bashed the back of my head pretty hard amongst other things, on the way down. Big egg, felt crap but it was a general feeling of shock/crapness/soreness and pain over my body. Today I still have the sore bits but a little subsided and more localised. However, I feel like someone has turned my face through 90 degrees if that makes sense, everything is slightly turned and sideways. It's not severe and I have managed through the day but it just occurred to me that maybe I am concussed?

I really cannot take the time to go to A & E and the doctor cannot see me until Tuesday (have made an appointment in case this does not pass by then, but I suspect it will) but in the meantime wondered if anyone had any advice about my weird symptoms or anything else to look out for or avoid or take or do in this situation?

TIA

2 of some of the main symptoms of concussion are drowsiness and nausea, although not all concussed folk will have those symptoms. Saying that, I would have gone to your nearest A&E or Casualty Dept with your symptoms as I'd rather be safe than sorry.

My DS was being sick when he got concussion, also quite drowsy. That was from a fall downstairs and the symptoms started pretty soon after so it was an ambulance job. Thankfully he turned out fine but had to stay in hospital over night. This happened when he was 3 so a few years ago now but it was pretty scary!
Hope you are o.k.
