Mirena coil after effects?

I had a Mirena coil inserted on Tuesday and I've felt weird ever since. My tummy has been cramping (like period pain) but it also feels tender and the waistband on my tights feels uncomfortable. My digestion has also been a bit upset, and I've felt very hot and sweaty at times (even though I'm wearing less layers than those around me). Is this common? Will it settle down eventually? I came off the Pill in July and lost weight/felt great. I'm starting to think that hormonal contraceptives just don't agree with me! Anybody have a similar situation?

I did feel a little weird afterwards, but I had no cramps (which are a common SE). I felt completely normal after four days, and I have never looked back, and never had a period since....which was 2 years ago. If you aren't feeling better by tomorrow morning I would go to the gp, just incase you have got an infection, you don't want to be without antibios over the weekend.

I nearly fainted after mine LOL. Yep I felt 'it' for about a week afterwards and I still get my AF - every 2 weeks so far - and get the usual high temp/upset stomach beforehand. However, for me it is worth it as my AF was sooooooo heavy after having the kids so the inconvenience of a light bleed more often is better. I had mine in in April and am keeping my fingers x that my Adf may stop altogether at some point Smile. I'd give it another week or so to settle down before you go back to see GP - we all react differently.
