Chicken pox without spots... your experience

DD1 has chicken pox and is covered in spots. Low grade fever, cough but generally ok.

DD2 (20m) has high fever, feeling very poorly but no spots to be seen. Just wondering if anyone has experience of CP without spots?

DD1 is at school and the rest of the class has had / has it. DD2 isn't at school / nursery but does go with me to pick up DD1, though exposure has been limited.

I thought DD2 would probably get it in a couple of weeks time but with her being poorly now, I'm wondering???

I got over 200 spots, brother got 9. Son may have had it, he got a few spots and cold like symptoms when it was going around but we've never really been sure. Recently found out that you CAN have it twice, especially if you had a mild case. never knew that.
