Hard grainy lump in armpit???

I've got a very hard lump in my armpit a bit smaller than a grain of rice. It doesn't hurt and I have squeezed it and nothing camer out (sorry tmi!), any ideas what it could be?!

ingrown hair?

Stab Lance it with a sterilised needle? Usually my next port of call. [hgrin]

I thought it might be but I can't see anything under the skin..

I was worried it might be breast cancer

Disclaimer: I'm not a doctor, and you probably need to get one to allay your fears. But it sounds like something I've had before and was just a blocked gland.

When you say lump do you mean spot on top of the skin or a lump under it? If it is the latter then best go to the gp just to be sure.

If it is directly in your pit, I doubt it is the C word. C word usually is the lymph nodes which can go quite far back. Go to Drs though to be checked, and remember there are usually many simple answers. :)

I have had several of these and they were blocked ducts / cysts. They always go away after a week or so.

Get it checked out just to put your mind at rest but ime they are nothing to worry about.

The first time I had one I was also convinced it was BC, so I know how you are feeling x
