Anybody's little ones got this molluscum thingy? They're little warty type things. My DD has them but they seem very red and angry looking today. Any-one know anything?

OK this may sound weird but I think I got this advice on this very site earlier this year.

Elizabeth Arden eight hour cream. Fantastic stuff, it cleared my son's Molluscum in about 2 weeks. If you happen to have a tube lying round, give it a shot. I did not put it on any weeping spots just in case.

HTH

Has anybody noticed moluscum on their child's tongue? Our DD appears to have a few at the back of her tongue. Does this seem likely/possible?

aren't they taste buds, Cadmum..?

Hiya i had these on my face as a child and they do hurt when you pick them off!!! My son age 5 has them now i pick them off with cocktail sticks and put betadine on as advisd by gp. They die in two days and dont scar if you catch them whem theyre tiny. The bigger they grow the harder they are to kill!!!

molluscum breakthrough

Twiglett may be right. That is exactly what happened here.

Dd had little pearly bumps on her torso, but they wern't very noticable and because her skin is a bit dry with eczema anyway I assumed it was that.

Then it all became red and sore and I finally found out what it was from the doctor. It got quite nasty looking but she had some anti- biotics and now it has vanished completely.

Hope your dd's go soon MollyMooMin. I don't think it's a serious condition though from what I was told.

Well DS had them for maybe the full two years. The main crop was on the back of his leg and some have scarred. He also had a few in other places - stomach, neck, side of torso.

DD has had them for over a year now. She has them on various parts of her torso but I think she is over the worst although she has a quite angry looking one in her groin atm.

Tried 8 hour cream and it didn't work for us.

my middle child got molluscum at 2 years old she only got about 10 and they disappearred about a year and a half later on their own.but now my elder 5 year old has them allover her chin and neck i am devastated.because they are on her face.she is so beautiful and i am worried that they will leave scars behind.so far no one at school seems to have noticed them but they are getting bigger.i know this is bad but i don't want to tell anyone at her school in case she gets treated different or excluded.i know i should but it would break my heart if kids where mean to her.she is such a popular ha ppy little girl.i hope they go away soon.i have been tempted to try things on the net for treatment but i think this could be a bad idea and make things worse.i think most are scams to get money.and doctors say leave well alone and be patient.so i am going to trust them.as my other childs disappeared so why shouldn't hers.
