Hair Loss

Hi

New to this but thought i would give it a go. My hair is falling out. It used to be really quite thick when i was younger but now its falling out. Has anyone experienced hair loss on the pill? I've come off the pill now to see if that would help but not sure what else to do. Its just generally thinning and i'm starting to get worried about it, probably not helping.

Not sure what to do. I dont want to have to go and buy expensive shampoo's that dont work. Looking at taking some vitamins to see if that helps

How old are you Peach? Is it shedding loads or just generallyu thinning?

I'll be 30 next year. It's been thinning for about 2 years now but just recently I seem to have more on my brush and on my hands when I wash it.

I have some knowledge of it because i am under a trichologist myself. Dont bother with lotions and potions and vitamins. If you can afford it go and see a hair expert and get a proper diagnosis. Dont leave it act now. Hair can be saved if you act fast. Your ferritin levels could be low and a trichologist will order blood tests.

I'm with chipstick10. Not sure why, but I am rubbish at storing iron, so unless I'm taking supplements, my ferritin levels will be scraping along the floor & when that happens I get really heavy hairloss.

Thanks everyone. I will go to the doctor and see if they know a trichologist in my area. Will ask them to take some blood as well to check ferritin.
