Menstural cycle postpartum

I've always been blessed with a regular cycle but I've only had 3 menstural periods since giving birth 7 months ago, they are irregular and very heavy and causing me great pain and moods. Is this normal postpartum and is it likely to improve without intervention?

Mine have got heavier and heavier after each child (have 3). Feel like I am bleeding to death each month now!!!!!! But don't get period pains anymore! So hey, can't complain! Still regular though but not quite as regular as I was before kids.

See your GP and ask for a referral to a gynae. It is in your interests that you determine exactly why your periods are like this now. You should not have to put up with it, also such problems do not often resolve themselves.

Irregular periods are often caused by hormonal imbalances and heavy periods can be indicative of fibroids being present.
