I am so so sick of combing my hair (very long), my kids hair (very curly) and trying to get dp to do his (very afro). Is there anything else you can suggest other than this? We all get nits ALL THE TIME as does every other family living in this neighbourhood and I can't tell you how much I resent the relentless, endless, tedious wash, condition comb every other day. Is there anything else we can do, apart from shearing ourselves????

Any ideas if I can use any of those shampoos on myself whilst breastfeeding?

Only thing that ever really worked for me over the years (very long haired dd is now 10)is nice and clear head lice lotion. Its chemical free but you do have to use it with combing every 4 days (i think) to get rid of nits. However you can leave it in the hair and it will repel nits too to prevent reinfestation. Believe me I have tried everything ..chemicals dont work and I really don't like using them ..the robicomb(electricutor) is good as a checker and in between infestations but wont get rid on its own.
