My partner and I have been trying for another child since February. I was in hospital for something unrelated in April, and had a very early miscarriage in May....

Now every month, we are quite careful to do the deed several times during my ovulation, but within days I have a bloody discharge and my period comes early. It's as if the egg has fertilised and before it can implant properly, my body rejects it and my period starts. This is really not right, is it? I have voiced concerns to my GP but of course the NHS doesn't investigate problems with fertility until you've been trying to conceive for 12 months.

Any idea what is happening? We already have a 21-month old child, conceived 4 months after I came off birth control (the pill) which I had taken for 20 years. I really don't want my son to be an only child.

Jo if you're in Scotland try the Natural Fertility Centre - they're good.
