How many times a year are you so ill you cant get out of bed?

3x this year for me so far...all chesty things that have knocked me for 6 and have stopped me funtioning for 3+ days..
How often for you?

once in last 3 years (since dd was born) and was only for one day

Erm never really, I always have to get up even if I feel like i am dying. No one else here to do anything.

I am ill too but have dosed myself up and given dp the shopping list

I am getting better, been ill since the 21st...functioning enough to be on here. Still sweating/freezing on and off though.

never. Te only time i'm bedridden is always self inflicted because it's a hangover. I never seem to get these bugs/flu etc which mean you stay in bed for a week and lose half a stone

I suffer from horrible migraines, so pretty regularly for me. Prob once every six weeks when I am struck by a particularly nasty one.

About 18 months ago I was so sick that I couldn't get out of bed by myself - dh had to carry me to the loo! It was just a flu virus too but I had been feeling pretty run down for months so it got a really bad hold on me. First time it had happened to me since I was about 20 (14 years ago!)

Once this year and that's rare. I'd say apart from that once in the previous 8 years.

Over the last few years I seem to have had one bout of flu or winter vomiting thingy once each winter.

Twice this year

Today would have been one of them as I have been throwing up all night but I had to get on as there was no one else to deal with the ds's.

Almost never, thank heavens. The last time I was bedridden with flu/bug was 1997 - I remember it really well because I'd just started a new job and they weren't terribly pleased. In fact I was so ill I went back to my mum and dad's and let my mother look after me for a week

Although I do feel a bit rough today, come to think of it...

Think that was the last time I was ill snafu. The flu put me in bed for a fortnight and completely cocked up Christmas because I wasn't well enough to do all the shopping etc.

It's actually at least 5 years since I've had a bad cold.

i honestly cant remember the last time i was "that" ill.... guess it might have been when i was at uni so about 5 years ago. (and only really for 18 hours)

I honestly cant remember the last time I was even a little bit ill, it just does'nt happen for some reason, rarely even catch colds.
