... and then I shall good cheer Grin

Don't drink loads but weekend we do in one or two bottles of wine and might ave odd sneaky drink during week when kids are in bed. But as age is creeping up behind me I just seem to suffer a bit more... a lot more tired the morning after.. grotty skin... so decided to stick with lots of water, orange squash, or for a really racey night, hot milk with vanilla.

Am I getting old or just level headed and sensible?

Grin

I stopped enjoying wine sometime after Christmas and don't have any now maybe half-a-glass on a special occasions (can't remember when it was last time, maybe Easter?). I am a bit of a hermit tho, so no social pressure, but have to say I feel better, lost weight and I don't even miss it anymore. I just have communion wine now Grin

Oh, still going to have communion wine! I forgot about that! Am enjoying it so far and feelinbg a bit better, skin is still looking rubbish but I think i need a couple of weeks to get a good continuous glug of water going through me to flush out all the rubbish...

Might look into being a eucharistic minister... don't they ones who have to serve the wine glug what's left to empty the chalice at the end of communion? Grin

i stopped drinking 4 years ago and it took ages to feel better. Mind you I drank more than you by the sound of it. just to flag up really, that you might feel worse with flu like symptoms, before you feel the benefits. I have up on new year day for 3 months, and just decided I loved living without alcohol so don't drink now, except on holiday I do have a glass of wine with meal abroad. But to live day to day with no hangovers ever is just lovely
