Psoriatic arthritis

Been diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis even though I don't have psoriasis but runs in the family. Specialist told me that the arthritis is in my back as I am very stiff. But I'm not sure what this actually means and wondering if anyone else has this type of arthritis.
Am on plaquenil & MTX for RA.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, Aftereights.

I was diagnosed with this a long time ago. (I have had psoriasis since adolescence and psoriatic arthritis since 20s.)

Normally it affects fingers and extremities first. You seem to have a rare case of a rare condition.

Are you happy with the diagnosis?

I posted on the psoriasis thread in 'Chat' and do PM me if you want.

I am in a very long remission at present. I found a way to manage it all, finally.
