I've got to go and have a smear this morning and I am dreading it.
I have had several operations on my cervix and it is very scarred and easily torn, that coupled with a tilted uterus makes it very unpleasant and I am usually sore and bleeding for a few days.
I was telling dp how much I was dreading it, thinking to myself "I'm going to be sore, its only a couple of days till Christmas and there is so much to do etc".
DP replied "Don't worry, I'm getting a cold, don't think I'll be up for a Christmas Shag anyway".
