Been happening since this morning. On and off all day. Not linked to movement, can bend etc fine. Can be sat still on a chair and still get this Sharp stabbing pain on the right hand side lower back/just above bum cheek/hip level. Regular twinges not constant but annoying and painful.
Any ideas what it could be?

Seemed to almost stop for an hour now back to regular twinges.

Does the pain go down the back of your leg at all or is it just in the one place?

Avenged · 06/10/2011 21:03

Sorry OP, I'm absolutely shattered ATM and I'm literally dropping off at the computer, so I'm off to bed, but I will be back tomorrow at some point in the morning.

Take care until then OP.

Just in one place.

Ok, thank you.

Would you describe it as almost a burning type of pain? And does it last just a few seconds each time?

CherryLip · 06/10/2011 21:14

Perhaps your sacro iliac joint is playing up. Maybe try hot pack or icepack?

Tortoise · 06/10/2011 21:24

Last a few seconds but more of a Sharp stabbing pain.

Does it hurt when you move?

Avenged · 07/10/2011 13:35

Does pressure relieve it or make it worse?

BertieBotts · 07/10/2011 13:38

Could be kidney related. Have you had a UTI recently and/or do you feel generally unwell? Are your lips dry? (Sign of dehydration = not drinking enough.)

Tortoise · 07/10/2011 16:33

Well, what ever it was had stopped overnight! Maybe trapped nerve. Thanks for replies.

Hi OP, how are you doing? Has your pain disappeared or has it come back at all?

Bump

Tortoise · 14/10/2011 22:01

No more pains. Thanks for asking.
