What could cause this and what does it mean for my eyesight?

I went for an eye test this morning as I have been having daily migraines and trouble focusing. The tests took 1 1/2 hours and I had to have some done again and for longer. One result is that my pupils are not dilating as they should be. The optician is writing to my GP to ask if it could be a result of my medication but also said I need to see the GP about the migraines. I am currently having my 3rd migraine of the day but the optician said there is nothing wrong with my eyes that would be causing them. I also felt very sick after having the light flashes in my eyes and some tests done.

If your pupils are not reacting correctly to different light levels you may have Holmes Adie syndrome. Ask your GP for a referral to an Opthamologist. It is not serious but something one has to live with. I find I need to put on the sun glasses sometimes even when it is cloudy but it doesn't cause any other problems for me.

Migraine is mentioned on this page about it so they may be linked www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/holmes_adie/holmes_adie.htm

I hope the migraine is better today.
