Help - calpol on empty stomach?

can you give calpol on an empty stomach? dd who is 4 has not eaten for 1.5 days now - complaining of stomach ache - being sick (just water/flem)... taking her to doctors this morning, but in the meantime, can I give her calpol to ease the tummy ache??
