Well what could it be and should I worry? At the back of my mind I am rather worried that it could be implantation bleeding or whatever its called. We are using protection but i have always been a bit paranoid about that sort of thing. I am not sure what it could be. It was a small amount of blood and there has been no more. It appears to have been a one off.
Just wondered if anyone has experienced anything like this and if I should be worried.
And yes it is a bit easier asking people on the net about this before having to go to the doctor about this!

I had the same thing regularly in my late thirties. Diagnosis was mid-cycle spotting a small amount of blood loss around ovulation time which is harmless and relatively normal. He must have been right as it hasn't reoccurred after the menopause.

I'd still mention it to your GP though, for peace of mind.

I was going to say ovulation as well, it's happened to me before. Implantation bleeding only happens in about 30% of pregnancies IIRC (or maybe less than that--but it's definitely not the norm).

Great thank you. I will stop obsessing about it then!
